Derek is a former corporate and commercial lawyer having practised in this area for over 20 years. He retired as a senior partner of Deacons in 2007 and is now a director of Newstream Group, a private investment house.

Derek’s expertise includes capital raising (private and public at all levels), private equity, ASX listing, due diligence, mergers and acquisitions, asset sales and purchases, transaction negotiations, business and project structuring and corporate governance.

Derek is a director of ASX listed Katana Capital Limited.
